Update
September 2025 Update – v2.8.19.2
2025-09-12

Hello from LETR WORKS!

We're excited to announce our regular September update. This release includes several key improvements and changes to enhance your experience.

The latest update for September is v2.8.19.2.

--------------------------------------------

1. Video Feature Enhancements and Changes

1-1. Video Project Creation: Transcription and Translation Features Merged

Our LETR WORKS video projects offer comprehensive tools for video content transcription, translation, subtitling, and dubbing.

Previously, video translation work followed a two-step process: first, you would create a transcription project, complete the work, and then create a separate translation project to proceed with the translation.

With this new update, we have integrated the transcription and translation workflows.

Now, when you create a video project, you can select your desired task—either transcription or translation—and choose the Source language and the Translation language, all in one go.

This integration allows us to offer both transcription and translation functions in a single process. Users can now handle both tasks simultaneously with one unified feature.

1-2. Video Editor: Timestamp Clicks in the Issue Window Now Navigate to the Corresponding Point

To facilitate efficient team collaboration, LETR WORKS provides a feature for users to log issues that occur at specific points during video tasks like transcription, translation, and subtitle synchronization.

We've now added a convenience feature: clicking the timestamp of an issue in the main Issue Management window will automatically move the video, corresponding sentence, and waveform to that exact point.

This allows project managers and team members to review and correct errors much more conveniently.

1-3. Video Editor: Project Status Indicators (Before Progress/In Progress)

In the Video Editor, we have distinguished between projects that are Before Progress and those In Progress. Projects that are In Progress are now marked with a blue arrow icon.

You can also use the filter function to view your projects separated into five categories based on their status: All, Before Progress, In Progress, Issue, and Complete.

Note: This status feature has also been applied to the Image and Text Editors, respectively.

1-4. Video Editor: New and Organized Shortcut Keys for Playback and Editing

We have added and organized frequently used shortcut keys for video playback and editing, such as Play/Pause and Video Jump 1 second backward/forward.

You can find a complete list of all shortcut keys and their functions by clicking the ‘View Shortcut Keys’ button in the bottom-right corner of the Video Editor.

The shortcut keys available for the Video Editor are shown in the image below. Actively using these shortcut keys will help you work more efficiently.

2. Image Feature Enhancements and Changes

Our LETRWORKS image projects are primarily used for webtoon localization and multimodal data construction. To improve efficiency for multimodal data projects, we’ve implemented two new features.

2-1. Image Project Creation: JSON File Support for Image Sentences

In multimodal data projects, an image is paired with a sentence that describes its content. With this update, we’ve improved the functionality to support uploading JSON files that contain these descriptive sentences.

Multimodal data projects involve creating sentences that describe thousands of images and then matching them to build AI training data. By supporting JSON files alongside images, users can now upload different file formats at once, making management more convenient and improving overall work efficiency.

2-2. Image Editor: Image-to-Text Navigation with Index Numbers

When editing images with LETR WORKS, users had difficulty matching text from text-heavy images with the generated sentences. To make image editing more convenient, this update improves the functionality to display index numbers to the left of the generated sentences. Additionally, we've improved the feature so that clicking an index number now navigates you to the corresponding location on the image.
