The biggest feature of this notation standardIt is significant that it is written so that even foreigners who have a poor understanding of Korean food culture can easily understand it. It is said that they paid a lot of attention to whether it is OK to translate scientific names as they are, whether food names with Chinese characters are appropriate for translation, and to reflect ingredients, recipes, and flavor characteristics unique to Korean food rather than mechanical translation so as not to cause misunderstandings due to cultural differences.
Also, it is said that words that are already known overseas as their Korean names or are listed in the Oxford English Dictionary and need to be preserved are described by using the Korean language as it is, and explanations are added.
